Description of this Book
Six Songs for Celebrations" by Willow Macky (Her name and logo appear above the title.on the cover picture.) includes "Te Harinui"(with 1997 Christmas stamps telling its story), five other of her songs with related items of historical interest, and five of her poems appropriately illustrated. "Singing Bells" music has also a simple melody line for handbells or solo instrument. Unique non-opening double pages are lined with Maori motifs, and this gives thickness for comfortable placement on piano or stand. In the year that she died, Willow Macky was granted a QSM for her services to the arts, as she had become one of NZ's best- known composers of folk music.
