Description of this Book

This is an enchanting story of Wiri, the cutest Weta, whose happy life is interrupted by a screaming man with a torch. Wiri has an adventure before finding a new home in the Old Gold Mine at Zealandia, the eco sanctuary in Wellington. Along the way, many of the people Wiri meets scream when they see him and this concerns Wiri. He really doesn't understand why anyone would want to scream at him. Fortunately for Wiri, a brave little boy called Charlie rescues him and he and his Dad take Wiri to Zealandia where he gets used to people screaming at him.
