Description of this Textbook

A fun and original series of photographic picture books that make a game out of looking at animals. In doing so, the books act as a first introduction to animal identification and classification. Each title zooms in on a single animal feature across a range of different animals. The text uses simple rhyme to make the books fun to read from start to finish. These books have plenty of use across a wide age-range - and will be great for sharing both at home and in classroom discussion. One clear close-up photograph on each page, or spread, shows the animal's hair/feet/nose/tail, with a line of text identifying the type of feature ( some have prickles! ) but not the animal. The reader is invited to think about which animal the feature belongs to and, turning to the back of the book, finds the whole animal revealed in a photographic glossary with supporting text.
