Valerie Rapp is a renowned science writer and author of What The River Reveals. She is the winner of the 1996 fellowship in non-fiction from Literary Arts Inc in Oregon. As well as writing she has previously had jobs in wildland fire-fighting, trail work, timber sale planning, and wild and scenic river planning.
