Description of this Book

A metal detector was the last thing that Josh wanted. I want a rat for my birthday. All Josh can think about is the pet rat he desperately wants for his birthday. Toby at school has a rat so why can't he? But Grandad wants to get him a metal detector like his own. It's embarrassing enough having to dig the holes at the beach for Grandad, let alone scavenging himself. They never find anything but junk anyway. And there's one other little hurdle to overcome - Mum cannot stand rats.
