Author's Bio

Saviour Pirotta is an award-winning author who has written many books for children, ranging from folktale and fiction to factual books. His Frances Lincoln picture books, Joy to the World and Turtle Bay have won numerous awards and been translated into several languages. He has retold several stories for Orchard, including the popular The Sleeping Princess and Other Fairy Tales from Grimm and The Orchard Book of First Greek Myths. Saviour lives in Brighton. Jan Lewis has been illustrating children's books for more than twenty years, ranging from board books to young fiction. Her most successful title is the best-selling Orchard novelty book, The Secret Princess Handbook. She also illustrated a delightful series of board books for Orchard, based on popular nursery rhymes and Christmas carols. Jan lives in Berkshire.
