Each time a player lands on a picture, he/she must say both the word and the sound for that picture Eg. Ten ... t. The player may then "claim" that sound by placing a counter on the large white box marked "t" ...Be very alert, as one counter only is to be in each box. The rules of the games can also be adapted for more advanced students e.g. by asking them to think of another word that has the same sound as that on which they have landed Each desk game is designed to be played by two children and is printed on a durable vinyl mat that can be wiped clean.
