Description of this Book

In a more open world, the ability to attract investment has become one of the key determinants of economic success or failure. This book explores the role of investment in the current ACP-EU Economic Partnership Agreement Negotiations. The contributors consider that Investment agreements now need to focus on the conditions of investment, taking into account the requirements of investors and the needs of the host countries. Today, the challenge is to identify measures that are suitable for inclusion in investment agreements that will help achieve the development goals of the parties concerned. It is intended for economic advisers, trade negotiators and officials, and all those concerned with international trade policy.
