Description of this Book
Jonny is a little superhero with a BIG problem. His Mom is sick. How can he help? Join Super Jonny and his sidekick Bear, as they go to the hospital to investigate. Discover who the staff working in the hospital are and what they do. See how Super Jonny solves this problem. Super Jonny is a delightful story, which tackles a difficult topic in a light way. Written to empower young children, this book helps them to discover their unique role. Super Jonny is recommended by health professionals. Although Mom is in hospital, her diagnosis is not mentioned. This means this book is suitable for any mother who is in hospital for any reason. Super Jonny is recommended by teachers as a valuable classroom resource for teaching children how to help the sick. At the rear of the book is a page of questions which link to the Common Core (U.S). Chronically ill moms are not forgotten either. Also at the rear of the book is a page entitled: Preparing for a hospital admission: 5 tips for chronically ill moms. This ensures that any mother who is going into hospital, has some supplies when her children visit. This list of simple suggestions could also be filled by any adult wanting to help a Mom who is suddenly sick. With its big bold illustrations, Super Jonny is a valuable resource for any family, school, or medical centre. Suitable for ages 2-9* years (*because of subject matter).
