Author's Bio
Mandy Hager is an award-winning writer of educational and young adult novels including: Tom's Story, Singing Home the Whale, The Nature of Ash (NZ Post Book Awards finalist 2013), Dear Vincent (which won the 2014 LIANZA Young Adult award), Smashed which won the Esther Glen Award at the 2008 Lianza awards, and The Blood of the Lamb trilogy. For Singing Home the Whale she received the Margaret Mahy Book of the Year and the Best YA Fiction awards at the 2015 Bk Book Awards. Her first novel for adults: Heloise has just been longlisted for the Ockham Book Awards 2018.
She has worked for the Global Education Centre and produced innumerable resources on such issues as Violence against Women, Weather Wars on climate change and Who Are You?: the search for self in the global village.
