Join Thor as he battles with frost giants, goes fishing for sea serpents, and tries to figure out who has stolen his hammer. With the trickster god Loki tagging along on his quests, Thor will not only have to squeeze into a wedding dress but also test his strength against a giant...'s cat that's so big he can't reach its tummy even on his tip toes. Thor may be the god of thunder but that won't stop him from seeking trouble and adventure! Bloomsbury High Low books encourage and support reading practice by providing gripping, age-appropriate and illustrated stories for struggling and reluctant readers, those with dyslexia, or those with English as an additional language. Printed on tinted paper with a dyslexia friendly font, Thor is aimed at readers aged 9+ and has a manageable length (96 pages) and reading age (7+). Produced in association with reading experts at Catch Up, a charity which aims to address underachievement caused by literacy and numeracy difficulties.

NZ Review |
This series of books have been a big hit with my lower ability readers and children with EAL. It has been so refreshing to find high-interest reading books that are filled with great vocabulary to get our teeth into. -- Natalie Rogers * Year 6 teacher and Writing Lead * |

Author's Bio
Benjamin Hulme-Cross has written over thirty books for struggling readers. Prior to writing full time, Ben worked as English Literature Publisher for an international publishing company, commissioning and editing novels and plays for secondary schools. Ben's favourite thing about being a writer is playing around with ideas for stories in his head and daydreaming, so not much has changed from his childhood.
