By Tchaikovsky, Adrian
From the depths of the darkest myths, the soulless Plague People have returned. Their pale-walled camps obliterate villages, just as the terror they bring with them destroys minds. In their wake, nothing is left of the true people: not their places, not their ways. The Plague Peo...ple will remake the world as though they had never been. The heroes and leaders of the true people--Maniye, Loud Thunder, Hesprec and Asman--will each fight the Plague People in their own ways. They will seek allies, gather armies and lead the charge. But a thousand swords or 10,000 spears will not suffice to turn back this enemy. The end is at hand for everything the true people know.Read more

Adrian Tchaikovsky was born in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire before heading off to Reading to study psychology and zoology. For reasons unclear even to himself he subsequently ended up in law and has worked as a legal executive in both Reading and Leeds, where he now lives. Married, he is a keen live role-player and occasional amateur actor, has trained in stage-fighting, and keeps no exotic or dangerous pets of any kind, possibly excepting his son. He is the author of the critically acclaimed Shadows of the Apt series, Echoes of the Fall series, and several stand-alone novels, including Children of Time, the winner of the 30th Anniversary Arthur C. Clarke Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.
