Description of this Book

Robin's life is a mess. His father's a tyrant, his mother's disappeared and he's just been tempted by the wrong girl... He can't stop the images flashing across his mind. What does Robin really know about his past? Are there clues in his own writing? And what secrets lie beneath the frozen forest? Love and loss. Mystery and madness. Paul Jennings' first book for older readers is a stunning and original series on interwoven tales combining to tell the dark and ultimately uplifting story of a boy who dares to stare into the spider holes of his own mind. Features interview with Paul Jennings at the end of the final CD. Paul Jennings discusses the inspiration behind The Nest, its setting and characters, and the writing process with narrator Stig Wemyss.

Author's Bio

Paul Jennings has written over one hundred stories and has been voted favourite author over forty times by children in Australia, winning every children's choice award. The top-rating television series Round the Twist and Driven Crazy are based on a selection of his enormously popular short-story collections. In 1995 he was made a Member of the Order of Australia for services to children's literature and was awarded the prestigious Dromkeen Medal in 2001. Paul has sold more than 8 million books worldwide. Stig Wemyss is an actor, writer and the voice behind millions of children's audiobooks. Well, not millions. Thousands ... alright, more like hundreds ... he has a huge fan club. Bolinda audio is constantly receiving letters from kids saying things like 'Stig rocks' and 'I love Stig' and 'Stig Wemyss is the best narrator in the world'. Of course we don't show Stig all these letters, as he already thinks he's the best narrator in the universe! Stig is also the author of the exciting in-car audio entertainment series, The Tripp Diaries, so now he thinks he's the best narrator and the best author in the universe. We think he is too, but let's just keep that to ourselves.
