Scarlet is excited to be moving to her new home - it's in the countryside, which means she will be finally allowed to get a kitten! She chooses Bootle, a ginger kitten with long white socks on each foot. The two are insaperable, so when it comes to Scarlet starting at her new sch...ool, Bootle decides to follow her there. Scarlet thinks it's funny, but does her best to get him to stay at home each day. But one day, Bootle tracks Scarlet all the way to school, and gets caught in a downpour. He takes shelter - but gets stuck. How will Scarlet find him when she has no idea where he could be?
