With every passing year, the United States is becoming increasingly diverse, yet diverse learners continue to be underidentified as gifted as well as underrepresented and underserved in gifted programs. Additionally, when diverse learners are identified for gifted services, they ...are not retained in these programs at the same rate as their peers.
