Sveta paints not to please the viewer, but to express her inferiority, intense with meaning that is beyond common sense. Her images seem to be a wonder for her as much as they are for us. She is far from capitalizing on a once-found form, combination of colors, or plot: the art p...ieces range widely in style from simple and economic to elegant and sophisticated depending on the needs of the life-forms of the archetypal realm asking for expression. Freud famously said that dreams are the royal road to the Unconscious. Jung added that active imagination is also a very good way to the realm of the ultimate mystery. Sveta's art works are a happy marriage of both: the ideas, images, and colors spill freely from the radically Unknown, being Its messengers and speaking Its language. Sveta belongs with imaginative and channeling branch of artists, but not with Dali, Magritte, and Giger. Her flock is Marc Chagall, Mikalojus Eiurlionis, Niko Pirosmani. As an artist, she is direct, spontaneous, fresh, genuine, and confidently dances the line between purity and naivete. Her art is both extremely personal and completely transpersonal. That is why, I think, it flows so freely. OLENA PROVENCHER

Computers are the foundation of the information age, but communication technology is the foundation of the foundation. Without the theories and practical applications of theory brought to us by the pioneers of communication, the computer age would perhaps have remained in the bac...k office, hidden away as infrastructure like electricity or running water ~ critical to modern life, but not as transforming as the combination of communications and computing. The information age exploded, once machines were endowed with the ability to talk among themselves. The Signal connects everything to everything else, in both communication, and in the metaphorical sense as the link between and among people.

Now in its second edition, Cybercrime: Key Issues and Debates provides a valuable overview of this fast-paced and growing area of law. As technology develops and internet-enabled devices become ever more prevalent new opportunities exist for that technology to be exploited by cri...minals. One result of this is that cybercrime is increasingly recognised as a distinct branch of criminal law. The book offers readers a thematic and critical overview of cybercrime, introducing the key principles and clearly showing the connections between topics as well as highlighting areas subject to debate. Written with an emphasis on the law in the UK but considering in detail the Council of Europe's important Convention on Cybercrime, this text also covers the jurisdictional aspects of cybercrime in international law. Themes discussed include crimes against computers, property, offensive content, and offences against the person, and, new to this edition, cybercrime investigation. Clear, concise and critical, this book is designed for students studying cybercrime for the first time, enabling them to get to grips with an area of rapid change.

This God is both, the ultimate subject and creator of Sveta's art. If you do not grasp such God, fine: go and find your own meaning. This is, I think, the main message of her art; at least, it is what I receive from it the most vividly: it gives me a sturdy sense of the presence ...of meaning. Like her God, Sveta's art is homey, warm, approachable, and kind. We all may be fans of Alex Gray and even H.R Giger speaking of the spiritual, the imaginative, the channeling type of art. But, we definitely can use some kindness on canvas. Sveta's art has a confident and distinct voice, and it speaks kindness. The big orange Self, sitting with Its hands over Its knees, with small Sveta on Its shoulder, together looking at the mountains (because they are not yet on speaking terms, says Sveta); two rectangular-ish shapes, one red and another white, smiling and holding hands; a dainty woman with a huge lit cigarette in a black dress and white beret, her white wings hang helplessly down. The images are quintessential art: they are images in their own right, with life and meaning of their own. Non of these may make immediate sense to us: Sveta paints not to please the viewer, but to express her inferiority, intense with meaning that is beyond common sense. Her images seem to be a wonder for her as much as they are for us. She is far from capitalizing on a once-found form, combination of colors, or plot: the art pieces range widely in style from simple and economic to elegant and sophisticated depending on the needs of the life-forms of the archetypal realm asking for expression. Today, many businesses and corporations are moving their on premises IT Infrastructure to the Cloud. There are numerous advantages to do doing so, including on-demand service, scalability, and fixed pricing. As a result, the Cloud has become a popular target of cyber-based attack...s. Although an ISP is often charged with keeping virtual infrastructure secure, it is not safe to assume this. Back-up measures must be taken. This book explains how to guard against cyber-attacks by adding another layer of protection to the most valuable data in the Cloud: customer information and trade secrets.
